Playa Uvita
Playa Uvita is a typical farmers and fishers village at the South
Pacific coast of Costa Rica and its called the door to the Osa Peninsula.
Uvita offers beautiful topical beaches, rainforest, fishing, whale watching, surfing,
waterfalls, wandering rivers, and so much more. All year round mild
tropical weather makes Uvita a wonderful place to live or visit.
The town of Uvita has restaurants, bars, shops, supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, Internet-Café's, a police station, information
center, and other local needs making necessities easy to get. Also
available is a hospital near by for any health needs. There is no
malaria in this area.
Restaurants and bars offer great seafood, local cuisine, and fun
entertainment. Uvita has a variety of places to dine and enjoy the
local atmosphere. There is plenty to offer in choices of where to

Driving time from San Jose is about 3.5 hours, but there are other options on how to get to Uvita. You may choose to fly to a little
south of Uvita from San Jose, or take a shuttle bus that will have
a driver take you to your destination, or take the local public
bus.
