Volunteer and Work experiences

We are only accepting long term assistance at this time. We are mainly looking for a few types of longer term volunteers . We invite you to come stay and Cascada Verde, and if after meeting you, we might be able to work something out for shorter stays.

If you want to help with Housekeeping or are a Yoga Teacher, A chef, a Handyman, or are experienced in Permaculture / Organic Farming then feel free to email us with your experience and why you feel you would be a good fit with Cascada Verde. Suggested minimum time commitment is 6 weeks.

Contact information and info on our old volunteer program is below.

We are seeking self-motivated workers that are flexible, dependable, and efficient. Experience is not necessary, but very helpful. What is necessary is a desire to learn, work hard, have fun and be a team player.

Volunteer assistance includes help in our organic garden, attending to guests, house cleaning and maintenance, carpentry and minor repairs, office work, help in our communal kitchen etc. We encourage people to feel free to contribute their special talents and skills that could be of benefit to the evolution of Cascada Verde.

In order assist our community and to help cover our food and operational costs, we ask that volunteers acccept partial financial contributions and donate to asist your own work experience.

Our voluntary work exchange program involves at least a two-week commitment. For the first 2 weeks, we ask that you donate $100 in the slow season and $125 a week in the high season; which includes a private room and 3 meals a day.

If you are going to volunteer for more than 2 weeks, but less than a month then we are asking for $80 a week donation in the low season and $95 a week in the high season. After 4 weeks volunteer fees become negotiable depending upon level of community involvement etc.

Volunteers generally work for 4 hours a day, 5 days a week, and also help out with 3 communal kitchen shifts a week. The rest of time you are free to just relax, enjoy our local waterfall, or head out to one of the amazing local beaches.

In regards to volunteer tasks, we try to best accomodate the desires and needs of each volunteer, and generally have people work in specific areas that they most want to participate.

Once again, our main volunteer tasks include: organic gardening, landscaping, lodge cleanup, reception help, restaurant help, general maintenance and construction assistance.

In exchange for your service we offer a lot of hands-on learning experiences, a chance to experience community living and an opportunity to re-connecting with mother Earth. We welcome you with open arms and an open heart. We are looking forward to working with you for a more happy and healthy planet.

Please feel free to email us to find out more info, or to set up your volunteer dates. We look forward to your becoming a part of our volunteer community.
